Starbucks Chai Drinks

1. Chai Tea Latte

A Chai Tea latte is the most basic form of chai, containing steamed milk and hot or iced black tea.

As with all drinks at Starbucks, there are several versions available, depending on your preferences.

2. Chai Tea

Chai Tea has different strength levels depending on how long you steep the leaves for or what kind of mix-ins you add to your cup.

Some flavors are stronger than others, but every type of chai contains some combination of cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper, giving them their unique spicy taste.

It has been said that “chill out” stimulates the same pleasure centers in your brain as chocolate, making the flavor of chai tea very popular.

3. Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte

The Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte is a seasonal drink that has become increasingly popular. This type of chai tea latte contains real pumpkin and can be enjoyed all fall long.

There are also other season drinks such as the gingerbread chai latte and white chocolate cinnamon chai latte, but the pumpkin spice one always seems to be sold out in stores before the others, which makes people want it even more.

4. Chai Crème Frappuccino

A Chai Crème Frappuccino is a sweetened iced blended beverage with strong black tea, espresso shots, and spices mixed in for a unique flavor.

To add extra taste, whipped cream, and drizzles of caramel or mocha sauce if desired. Percentage of milk when dealing with caffeine.

5. Gingerbread Chai Latte

The Gingerbread Chai Latte is typically available in the fall when Starbucks has holiday drinks.

This drink contains all the spices you look for during the holidays, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, giving it a gingerbread flavor even though there is no actual gingerbread added.

It tastes great with whipped cream on top, so if you are looking for something spiced but delicious, this drink will be right up your alley.

Ask Barista For:

A Chai Tea Latte with Gingerbread Syrup (1 pump tall, 2 grande, 3 venti). Top off with whipped cream and molasses drizzle.

6. White Chocolate Cinnamon Chai Latte

The ingredients in a White Chocolate Cinnamon Chai Latte are similar to that of a regular chai latte because it still contains the spices of clove, cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger.

But, the flavor is enhanced by adding white chocolate shavings and a dash of ground cinnamon.

Ask Barista For:

A Chai Latte with whole milk, Cinnamon Dolce Syrup (1 pump tall, 2 Grande, 3 Venti), and White Mocha Syrup (1 pump tall, 2 Grande, 3 Venti). Finish with whipped cream and Cinnamon Dolce drizzle or sprinkle with cinnamon powder.

7. Chai Cookie Latte

A Chai Cookie Latte is an iced espresso beverage that consists of steamed milk with espresso shots and spices layered with a double shot of chai tea and whipped cream on top and sprinkled with crushed gingerbread cookies.

This drink is typically available during the holiday season.

Still, it can be requested all year round if you ask your barista for it because since it uses two shots, you will receive more caffeine in this drink than other drinks containing less caffeine, such as red-eye or latte.

Ask Barista For:

A Chai Tea Latte with Chai Syrup (1 pump tall, 1.5 pumps grande, 2 pumps venti), Hazelnut Syrup (1 pump tall,1.5 pumps grande, 2 pumps venti), and Java Chips. Garnish with Hazelnut Syrup and Cinnamon Dolce sprinkles.

8. Dirty Chai

This Dirty Chai contains dark cocoa powder, pure vanilla syrup, mocha sauce, two espresso shots, and shaken brewed chai tea.

This drink does not contain any milk, so it is soy-free, making it vegan-friendly even though the vanilla syrup contains dairy.

Ask Barista For:

A Chai Tea Latte, hot or cold, with a shot of espresso.

9. Chapple Tea Latte

This type of chai has apple cider mixed in with steamed milk, espresso shots, and chai tea.

Chapple Tea Latte is perfect for those times when you want to indulge without all the guilt because no refined sugars are added to this beverage, making it a healthier choice than other drinks on the Starbucks menu.

Ask Barista For:

A Caramel Apple Spice with Chai concentrate.

10. Cha-Cha Latte

The Cha-Cha Latte contains hibiscus tea, non-fat milk, espresso shots, and mocha sauce that is topped made with whip cream and chocolate shavings.

If you are looking for a sweet and fruity treat, this latte is right up your alley because it has a flavor like that of an iced raspberry hot chocolate.

Ask Barista For:

A Matcha Green Tea Latte with chai syrup (1 pump tall, 1.5 grande, 2 venti).

11. Cold Russian Tea Refresher

The Cold Russian Tea Refresher is made with black iced tea, a splash of lemonade, and vanilla syrup and honey.

This drink has the perfect blend of sweetness and caffeine, so it’s just like having a regular iced coffee but with less carbonation, making it easier on your stomach if you suffer from acid reflux or ulcers.

Ask Barista For:

An Orange Refresher with Chai Syrup (1 pump tall, 2pumps grande, 3 pumps venti) and Classic Syrup (1 pump tall, 2pumps grande, 3 pumps venti). Finish off with some sprinkled nutmeg for extra spice.

12. Iced Chai Tea Latte

Iced Chai Tea Latte is becoming more prevalent at Starbucks, and typically people will order them during the summer.

This drink is made similar to an iced coffee by adding ice to a cooled chai tea latte instead of hot water, making it easier to mix all the ingredients.

There are so many different chai tea beverages that can be ordered from Starbucks, depending on how you are feeling.

Please remember always to ask the barista about any available promotions to avoid missing out on possible savings.

This list is by no means exhaustive but includes all of the chai drinks Starbucks has to offer.
