Vanilla can add a little extra flavor to a basic black coffee, it can turn an iced coffee into a real dessert treat, and it can upgrade a latte into an even more delicious lunchtime snack. Starbucks uses vanilla syrup in both new drinks and old classics to create a surprising twist.

Starbucks Vanilla Drinks

1. Blonde Vanilla Latte

A Vanilla Latte is a standard latte but with a pump or two of vanilla syrup. It can be made by simply adding vanilla extract to espresso shots or coming from an actual vanilla bean.

Sugar and milk are also added, usually steamed until foamy before mixing with the coffee. The foam on top should have a creamy color to it for a traditional-looking beverage. This drink is very popular in European countries such as Spain and Italy.

2. Vanilla Frappuccino

The Vanilla Frappuccino is a cold coffee drink that can be considered a dessert.

It comes in several different types ranging from iced coffees with syrup to frappes (blended iced drinks). These drinks are typically served with whipped cream and an optional shot of vanilla flavoring.

3. Vanilla Latte with Coconut Whip Cream

This is the same as a standard latte but contains coconut-flavored whip cream to taste very tropical.

The ingredients are mixed in the exact way to create a thick foam on top, which can be decorated with different types of sprinkles/toppings if desired.

4. Vanilla Iced Coffee

Vanilla Iced Coffee is a perfect drink for a hot summer day. It’s your standard Starbucks Iced Coffee with a shot of vanilla syrup for added flavor.

Instead of adding sugar or milk to your iced coffee, give a shot of vanilla syrup a chance, you won’t regret it.

5. Iced Blonde Vanilla Latte

An Iced Blonde Vanilla Latte has the same ingredients as a regular latte, but instead of serving it hot, it’s served cold using ice cubes, making the drink much more refreshing and enjoyable for those sticky summer days.

The final product should be dark brown and should have a thick foamy layer on top.

6. Vanilla Cappuccino

A Vanilla Cappuccino is made with a standard espresso and topped off with milk and/or cream for foaminess.

You also have the option of making it a Blonde Vanilla Cappuccino for a sweeter flavor.

The whole beverage should be dark brown and have a thick layer of foam on top of the drink that can be decorated with chocolate powder or syrup if desired.

7. Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino

If you only try one drink on this list, I suggest it be the Caffe Vanilla Frappuccino!

Made with Frappuccino roast coffee and vanilla bean powder, this beverage is a real treat. The heavenly texture brings a smile to my face every time I sip it through a straw.

The best part about it is that it fits every time of the day, every season, and all occasions. Get your hands on a Vanilla Frappuccino as soon as possible.

8. Caramel Frappuccino

A Caramel Frappuccino is a cold beverage made from blending coffee with milk, ice cubes, and vanilla syrup.

It should be served with whip cream on top of the drink, so it reams up, creating a creamy foam – this is meant to enhance the drink’s aroma.

To make the drink more flavorful, you can add additional flavorings such as cinnamon or cocoa powder.

9. Iced Caramel Macchiato

An Iced Caramel Macchiato consists of a very strong espresso shot then poured over ice cubes before being topped off with steamed milk.

If preferred, caramel sauce can be added to the top of the glass for extra sweetness – this will also create a foam on top of the drink due to the milk.

It’s finished with whipped cream and caramel sauce which should be decorated onto the drink’s surface.

10. Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew Coffee

This is what every vanilla coffee lover needs in their life! Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew coffee is the smoothest, tastiest, and most satisfying version of cold brew available at Starbucks.

This coffee is made by using slow-steeped custom blend of Starbucks Cold Brew coffee rather than traditional/standard finely ground coffee beans. The beverage is served with a dollop on in-house made Vanilla Sweet Cream.

Is your moth watering yet?

11. White Chocolate Mocha

A White Chocolate Mocha can be served hot or cold; it should always contain espresso, milk, and vanilla-flavored syrup.

This drink is usually sweetened using sugar syrup before adding in other ingredients such as vanilla-flavored syrup, which enhances the taste even more – this will change the drink’s texture slightly, so prepare for high levels of sweetness.

12. Iced Chai Tea Latte

An Iced Chai Tea Latte is a popular drink that is very smooth in texture. For added flavor try the latte with almond milk.

To make an iced chai tea latte with almond milk, combine black tea, milk, ice cubes, and sugar syrup before stirring it all together thoroughly to ensure there are no lumps left inside.

Decorate it with cinnamon powder for added goodness.

13. Milkshakes

A milkshake is the best-known drink containing vanilla because it consists of ice cream (added milk, cream, or frozen yogurt).

A standard milkshake contains three scoops of a creamy dairy product which can either be vanilla or chocolate flavored.

The taste is delightful and highly satisfying for vanilla lovers, especially when there’s a thick layer of foam on top because it makes drinking much easier.

To make a thicker shake, add less liquid, so it has more substance – but not too much to the point where it doesn’t fit through a straw.

14. Iced Caffè Mocha

An Iced Caffè Mocha is made with a standard americano as its base but has the chocolate powder to make it taste rich and delicious, almost like mocha ice cream!

This type of iced coffee also has whip cream on top, decorated with chocolate syrup or another topping of choice. It should have a foam layer on top, just like any other beverage that contains milk/cream.

Who knew Starbucks had this many vanilla drinks? I hope you find time and resolve to get through the whole list! I’m glad I did.

In case you’re wondering, I do realize that some drinks didn’t have “Vanilla” in their name. You should know they still contained vanilla syrup, just like all the others.
